Mobilité Pologne 2010

The University of Liège has an international vocation. The Faculty is fully behind this objective and encourages mobility for both students and its staff.

At the same time it welcomes through its doors a great number of foreign students, doctoral students, researchers and professors.

Student mobility

The Faculty distinguishes itself through student mobility levels higher than the institutional average. In effect, 30% of its students experience a study stay or a work placement training period abroad or in the Flemish Speaking Community of Belgium.

Consult the detailed information given by study area:

Each year it hosts around a 100 students from abroad or the Flemish Speaking Community of Belgium, who come on the basis of Erasmus or Erasmus Belgica agreements, or agreements signed with universities outside the European Union (Brazil, Canada, etc.). Further information

Academic staff mobility

The Faculty’s professors regularly travel abroad within the framework of conferences, congresses, teaching missions and one-off or institutional projects, to European countries but also to more distant destinations such as Argentina, Benin, Burundi, Colombia, Honolulu, India, Japan, Morocco, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tunisia).

If conferences, colloquia and seminars remain a privileged means of strengthening knowledge and exchanging ideas about common research interests, they are also essential to creating new joint projects, be they in the domain of teaching or research.

These travels can be funded by the Erasmus programme or by specific funds.

The Faculty welcomes academics from every European country, as well as more distant countries such as Algeria, China, Canada, Iran, Japan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Togo, etc.

Research staff mobility

In the same way as the academic staff, the mobility of research personnel and hosting foreign researchers is actively encouraged. The Faculty also regularly hosts researchers from foreign institutions.  Certain specific tools facilitate these exchanges:

Administrative personnel mobility

The student exchange coordinators take part in annual coordination meetings with certain university partners. The administrative personnel as a whole has the possibility of participating in personnel exchange programmes between European universities within the framework of Erasmus.
