WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF CRIMINOLOGY

For most people knowledge of criminal matters is restricted to what is said in the press or to what is suggested by television series. These media talk of murders, robberies, domestic violence, drug trafficking, etc., in a way which remains general, anecdotal and distorted. What is the real nature of crime? Who are the offenders? What are the causes of crime and how can it be prevented? What is the effectiveness of police, juridical and criminal measures in the fight against crime? It is to these questions that criminology tries to respond through the scientific and academic study of criminal matters.
