The University of Liège has an international vocation. The Department is fully behind this objective and emphasizes the international dimension in its teaching as much as in its research activities. 

Thus,

• It places great importance on its students language learning,
• It encourages the mobility of its students and staff (30% of its students experience a study stay or a work placement training period abroad or in the Flemish Speaking Community of Belgium,
• It prepares its students to take part in international moot court competitions,
• It  takes part in development cooperation projects,  
• It supports researcher mobility with The David Constant Fund for research stays (IN and OUT)

• It is either a member of or takes part in the work of diverse international associations and organisations (Capitant, Centre d'étude du droit européen en matière pénale et financière, the Interuniversity Centre of Comparative Law, CRIMPEV, European Association of Tax Law Professors, Global Competition Law Centre, Association Fiscale Internationale, Ius Commune, the ‘Doping’ Network of the World Ant-Doping Agency, Privatissimum, Société F. de Visscher, etc.).
