The victims and the International Criminal Court

The international criminal justice system has experienced lightning development over recent decades, first of all with the creation of international legal authourities given the responsibility of remedying gaps in national courts, and more recently with the adoption of the statute of the International Criminal Court. Nearly ten years after this statute came into force, the ULg's International Humanitarian Law Unit offers to draw up an assessment of the role and the position of victims in the proceedings held at the ICC.
